PAROLEE ARRESTED IN YUCCA VALLEY

A parole check on a Yucca Valley man Thursday night resulted in his arrest. According to a Sheriff’s report, shortly before 10 p.m., a deputy went to a home in the 8500 block of Paxton Avenue in Yucca Valley looking for Edmundo Gutierrez, 23, who had a warrant for his arrest for violating the terms of his parole. The deputy saw Gutierrez get into a silver Suburban and drive off. When Gutierrez saw the deputy following him, he bailed from the vehicle and ran off through the desert, back to the home on Paxton Avenue. The deputy found Gutierrez hiding in the home’s attic, and arrested him for his warrant and for investigation of resisting arrest. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held without bail. A County records check found that since 2008, Edmundo Gutierrez has been convicted of burglary, receiving stolen property, possession of concentrated marijuana, and contempt of court.
