Three parents were cited by law enforcement for their alleged involvement in a fight in the parking lot of Oasis Elementary School.
On Monday (October 16) at approximately 3 p.m., County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a fight at Oasis Elementary School, located at 73175 El Paseo Drive in Twentynine Palms. Deputies report that, when they arrived, the fight had concluded, and all the parents believed to be involved in the fight had left school grounds. The fight ultimately caused the normal function of school activities to halt and prevented egress and safe pick-up of students.
School Resource Officers conducted an investigation, reviewed video footage, and identified those involved in the fight as parents of students enrolled within the Morongo Unified School District.
Following the incident, Deputies identified Saunoa Asuega, 40, Faalai Faumui, 41, and Olga Lemoata, 24, all resdients of Twentynine Palms, as the parents involved in the altercation.They were each issued citations for violation of Education Code 32210- Willful School Disruption.
