All homes have been selected for the 12th annual Parade of Homes tour, sponsored by Reach Out Morongo Basin. The Parade of Homes is Reach Out’s biggest fund-raiser of the year, which brings in thousands of dollars for its neighbors-helping-neighbors programs. This year’s tour features homes from Morongo Valley to Twentynine Palms, and includes a bonus seventh home, instead of the usual six homes. Two homes are in Morongo Valley, two in Yucca Valley, two in Joshua Tree, and one in Twentynine Palms. Today, reporter Mike Lipsitz offers a sneak peek at “Bring Your Own Horse Ranch,” one of the homes in Morongo Valley…
This year’s Parade of Homes tour gives ticket holders entrée into six unique dwellings. Today, we visit the “Bring Your Own Horse Ranch” on the Basin’s west end in Morongo Valley. Perched on 2.5 acres, this is a sprawling, multilevel home built from the ground up by owners Gary and Marianne Haines. The upstairs showcases a spacious master bedroom with wet bar and a large balcony with sweeping views of the Coachella Valley below. The lower floor features a huge living area, made cozy and warmed by the custom built fireplace. Spacious rooms, custom baths and gracious indoor and outdoor entertaining areas make this home a must see for anyone who dreams of spreading their wings. And yes, there are horses. Z107.7 is a Parade of Homes sponsor.
Parade of Homes tickets are $25 and include all seven homes, plus live music and lunch at the Park Rock Café in Joshua Tree. Tickets are now available by calling 760-361-1410 and at the Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley chambers of commerce, the Reach Out offices in Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms, and here at the Z107.7 studios on Hallee Road in Joshua Tree.
