Reach Out Morongo Basin’s 15th annual Parade of Homes tour is set for Sunday, February 17, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Five houses are on the tour, including Harmony Sails in Morongo Valley, and Home Sweet Homestead in Twentynine Palms. Harmony Sails is set on 15 acres of land above a wash next to the Sand to Snow National Monument and is designed to interact with the desert environment. Home Sweet Homestead is a glass block home built in 1951 and transformed into a ranch-style desert abode with desert vistas. The Parade of Homes is Reach Out Morongo Basin’s largest fundraiser of the year. The fifth home in our profiles of houses on the tour is the Auto Haus in Yucca Valley. Decorated in a whimsical and unique automotive theme, Auto Haus is a car buff’s dream. It’s filled with automotive-related items from the vintage license plate lamp shades to table tops. Relax in the garden amid the beautiful landscaping and automotive art benches.
