A favorite local entertainment venue has been named as one of the top 100 in the country. Managing editor Tami Roleff says Pappy and Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace placed near the very top of the prestigious list….
A local honky-tonk has been named one of the top 100 greatest American music venues by the Chicago-based online publication, Consequences of Sound. Pappy and Harriet’s in Pioneertown was ranked at number 13 in the list, ahead of concert halls such as the Troubadour in West Hollywood, at number 19, Radio City Music Hall in New York City, at number 28, and Preservation Hall in New Orleans, at number 55. The rankings were based on the history of the venue, the bands booked, whether they are top national acts or top local bands, and the quality of the shows.
