It’s another free concert at tonight’s Live at the Rock at Tortoise Rock Casino in Twentynine Palms. Managing editor Tami Roleff says tonight’s tribute to the Texas-based heavy-metal band Pantera will reach “A New Level”…

Nearing the end of its fifth big season, Tortoise Rock Casino’s Saturday night Live at the Rock free concert tonight pays tribute to Pantera. Saturday night’s band, “Far Beyond Hustle” recreates the look and the sound of the American heavy metal band that came out of Arlington, Texas in the early 1980s earning themselves the title “Cowboys From Hell.” Pantera created the “Power Groove” and flew the flag for heavy metal in the ’90s, compiling a long list of gold and platinum albums and home video releases, along with sold-out arena tours. So head over to Tortoise Rock Casino’s free Live at the Rock concert tonight as “Far Beyond Hustle” recreates the Pantera heavy metal experience. The free concert starts at 8 p.m. on the outdoor stage in Twentynine Palms.
