While the Town of Yucca Valley refuses to consider allowing their medical marijuana dispensary to reopen, a fourth medical marijuana dispensary could open in Palm Springs July 1. There has been much discussion during the past year about adding another cannabis collective; the Palm Springs City Council is scheduled to discuss and vote on the matter Wednesday. Palms Springs leaders are expected to approve a comprehensive regulatory program for pot shops that requires medical cannabis quality testing and allows the shops to take cash and operate on Sunday. Currently, cash is prohibited and collectives are not allowed to operate on Sunday.
