The re-opening of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway has been delayed a week. The tram has been closed since September 9 for its routine, annual maintenance. A news release says due to maintenance delays, the tram will re-open October 7 instead of its originally scheduled date of September 30. The first tram up will be at 10 a.m., the last tram up at 8 p.m., and the last tram down at 9:45 p.m. Tram cars depart at least every 30 minutes on the hour and half-hour. Completed projects include replacement of one tram car carriage, comprehensive mechanical testing, and annual cleaning and refurbishment at both tram stations.
