OVERDOSE BYSTANDER TRAINING TOMORROW

As drug overdoses sadly increase across the country, do you know what to do if you see someone in the throes of an overdose? We Reach Out is bringing bystander training to the Morongo Basin, and reporter Jef Harmatz tells you how to sign up.

When a person is suffering from a drug overdose, time is essential, and a trained bystander can save a life. We Reach Out is providing a free, one-hour training session that will teach you how to identify the signs of an opioid overdose and how to administer the overdose reversal drug naloxone. Attendees will receive a certificate of training completion and be provided with a dose of naloxone. The training sessions will be held at Copper Mountain College at 10 a.m. and 3:30 pm on January 21. You can sign up for the training session by calling We Reach Out’s Yucca Valley office at 760-365-7130 or by using the link below.
