After first responders revived a Twentynine Palms man who had overdosed on drugs, he and a woman who was with him were arrested Saturday. According to a Sheriff’s report, Nikole Schroder, 31, called 911 about 2:10 a.m. Saturday morning screaming for help. When deputies arrived at the Motel 6 in the 72500 block of 29 Palms Highway in Twentynine Palms, they began CPR on Andrew Gaxiola, 26, who had overdosed on heroin. Twentynine Palms firefighters were able to revive Gaxiola with Narcan, and they took him to Hi-Desert Medical Center where he recovered. Gaxiola is a wanted felon, and deputies had previously warned Schroder about being an accessory after the fact concerning Gaxiola’s whereabouts. They were booked at the West Valley Detention Center with Gaxiola’s bond set at $100,000 and Schroder’s bond at $50,000.
