California State Senate Republicans elected Senator Jean Fuller, who represents our Morongo Basin, as Senate Republican Leader-Elect. She will become the Senate’s first woman Republican Leader on November 1, 2015. Senator Fuller has been a member of the California Legislature since her election to the 32nd Assembly District in 2006. She was first elected to the Senate in 2010 and reelected in 2014 to represent the 16th Senate District. Prior to her election to the state legislature, Senator Fuller served as an educator in California for more than 30 years, including time as superintendent of one of the largest K-8 school districts in the state.
