OUR BLOOD SUPPLY IS CRITICALLY LOW IN THE MORONGO BASIN

The community blood supply has reached dangerously low levels that could potentially affect patient well-being. In particular, there is less than a one-day supply of type O-positive blood that is critical to patient wellness; LifeStream blood bank is urging people to make a difference to patients in need by donating blood. All donation types and all blood types are welcomed. Blood is urgently needed for surgeries, cancer treatments, for accident, burn and trauma victims, and for newborn babies and women giving birth. Managing editor Tami Roleff has more information about how to donate blood…

The blood donation process is faster and more convenient than ever when donors go to LStream.org and click on “ExpressPass” on their blood donation day. Required paperwork may be reviewed and the donor questionnaire completed before the donor arrives at the collection site.

To set up an appointment or to locate mobile drive locations, call 800-879-4484 or go to LStream.org. Lifestream’s permanent locations in San Bernardino, Riverside, Ontario, Victorville, and La Quinta are open seven days a week. If you are out and about, consider stopping in to give blood.
