The Orchid Society of Arizona will give free orchid classes for both children and adults during the 21st annual Orchid Fest, October 1 and 2. A free children’s class begins at 10:15 Saturday for children ages 6 to 16. Children should bring a clean one-gallon plastic jug.
Two hands-on demonstrations for adults will be held at 11:15 and 1:15. There is a $15 charge for these classes.
And at 3 p.m. there will be a class on creating a planter for two orchids. This class has a $25 charge.
Two orchid classes for those 16-and-up will be held at 11:15 and 1:15 p.m. Sunday, October 2. Class fee is $15 per class.
Participants in all orchid classes will bring home an orchid.

The festival will be held at the Gubler Orchids, 2200 Belfield Boulevard in Landers.
