ORANGE MAN DETAINED FOR RESISTING ARREST

A man from Orange was arrested Thursday, accused of resisting arrest. According to the Sheriff’s Department, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a white Mitsubishi car about 3 a.m. Thursday morning near Joshua Lane and Sunnyslope Drive in Yucca Valley. As the deputy attempted to detain the driver, identified as Steve Davis, 36, he fled from the scene. After a short foot pursuit, he was arrested in the 6800 block of Joshua Lane. Steve Davis was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
