Gallery 62 in Joshua Tree will hold an opening reception Saturday, January 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. for its current exhibition, “Freeze Frame.” The show will feature the artwork from movies and television by James E. Thompson, who had a long career in film and TV. A retrospective exhibition by Curly Martin will feature his photographs of the human figure. Bill Dahl is also a photographer; his fine art photos include black and white, and color images of the California deserts eastern Sierras, and Joshua Tree National Park. Larry White is a painter and ceramics artist who is primarily know for working with Sam Maloof for nearly 30 years. Gallery 62 is located at 60167 Twentynine Palms Hwy, Suite H, Joshua Tree and is open Saturdays 9 to 3 p.m. and Sundays noon to 3 p.m.
