Gallery 62’s new exhibit, Summer Shades, opens today with work by local artists, through June 26. Featured in the Signature Gallery are two- and three-dimensional works by Snake Jagger, who calls his artistic style whimsical surrealism. Featured artists include Janis Commentz, Nancy Miehle, James Thompson, Kathi Klopfenstein, and Elisabeth Pollnow. An opening reception will be held Saturday, June 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. The gallery’s summer hours are Saturday 9 to 3, and Sunday 12 to 3. Gallery 62 is located at 61607 Highway 62, Suite H in Joshua Tree.
