The Joshua Tree Art Gallery will host an opening reception and artist talk on July 28 and 29 for artist Tim Gonchoroff. Titled “Gestures for an Apocalypse,” Gonchoroff’s works combine natural dyes, carpentry, and textile work to examine the scope of material culture and the effects it has on the natural world. The opening reception is set for 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 28. The artist will hold an artist talk Sunday, July 29, at 1 p.m. JTAG is located at 60167 29 Palms Highway in downtown Joshua Tree.
