An Ontario man was arrested in Palm Springs, accused of a robbery in Twentynine Palms last month. Investigators say that Kirkley Igou, 34, went into the Plaza Market in the Historic Plaza in Twentynine Palms about 1:30 p.m. September 8 and took several beer cans and hid them in his clothing. When he tried to leave the store without paying for them, the clerk confronted him. Igou allegedly pushed the clerk several times in order to force his way out of the store. Detectives identified Igou as a suspect, and issued a warrant for his arrest in Riverside County. Palm Springs police officers located Kirkley Igou on Tahquitz Canyon Road Saturday and arrested him for investigation of robbery. Igou was booked into a Riverside County Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
