The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in an assault in Morongo Valley Monday afternoon. The male victim, who was not identified by the Sheriff’s Department, said about 1 p.m. a man, identified only as Hispanic, came to the 52300 block of Altadena Drive, pointed a gun at his face, threatened to shoot him, and then pistol whipped him. The victim suffered several lacerations and contusions to his face. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
