A Twentynine Palms man was arrested, and Sheriff’s deputies are searching for his accomplice, who are suspected of stealing a package off a porch in Twentynine Palms in October. About 2:30 a.m. October 13, two suspects, identified by Sheriff’s deputies as Charles Williams III, 19, and Anthony McSweeney, 17, were recorded stealing a package from a home in the 6000 block of Bagley Avenue in Twentynine Palms. The theft was recorded by the victim’s home surveillance system, and turned over to the Sheriff’s Department. Both Williams and McSweeney have active warrants for their arrest connected to other crimes in Twentynine Palms. On November 27, deputies located and arrested Charles Williams III on a warrant for making criminal threats. He was released from jail Tuesday. Deputies are still searching for Anthony McSweeney.
