ONE KILLED IN A MINIBIKE VERSUS SUV COLLISION IN YUCCA VALLEY

One person was killed Saturday morning when a mini dirt bike and an SUV collided in Yucca Valley. The rider of the mini dirt bike, a Coleman CT 200U-EX entered Paxton Road, just west of Balsa Avenue, from the north shoulder of the road, without yielding to cross traffic. The driver of a Gold GMC Yukon, which was traveling westbound on Paxton, collided with the mini dirt bike and the rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike. The rider was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs where he died from his injuries. The Sheriff’s Department has not released the names of either the driver of the Yukon or the rider of the mini dirt bike.
