A spectacular crash in Joshua Tree Friday morning sent one man to the hospital with minor injuries. About 6:45 a.m., a white Ford Fiesta, driven westbound in the number 2 lane about 55 to 60 miles per hour by Joshua Baxter, 21, of Joshua Tree, did not slow down for a flatbed work truck, driven by Daniel O’Neal, 52, of Joshua Tree, that was making a right hand turn into a driveway into Fatty’s Fencing. The right side of the Fiesta rammed into the rear of the truck with such force that the car stopped with both its front wheels off the ground. The passenger in the Fiesta was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center by MBA with a complaint of back pain. The California Highway Patrol cited Joshua Baxter for driving the Fiesta without insurance.
