One man is lucky to be alive after he fell out of a window at a Twentynine Palms hotel Sunday night. Paramedics were called to the Fairfield Inn in the 6300 block of Encelia Avenue just before 10 p.m. by a caller who said that a man had fallen out of a second-floor window. When Morongo Basin Ambulance arrived, they found a 26-year-old man who had sustained a minor injury to his leg after hanging from the windowsill and landing upright. MBA took him to Hi-Desert Medical Center for treatment. There was a report that a second man had also fallen from the window and sustained more severe injuries, but he was gone from the scene when paramedics arrived. Both MBA paramedics and Twentynine Palms firefighters searched the area but were unable to locate him.
