ONE IN CUSTODY AFTER TWENTYNINE PALMS ARMED ROBBERY

A Twentynine man was arrested Monday evening, accused of attempted robbery in Twentynine Palms. According to a Sheriff’s report, the owner of a recreational vehicle near Amboy Road and Adobe Road called deputies about 7 p.m. Sunday to report that a man, later identified as Gilbert Gonzalez, 50, was outside his RV with a gun. After an investigation, Gilbert Gonzalez was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $100,000.
