ONE DEAD, ONE IN CUSTODY AFTER A SHOOTING IN TWENTYNINE PALMS LAST NIGHT

One man is dead and another in custody after a shooting in Twentynine Palms last night. Early information is that deputies were called to a report of gunshots in the 6300 block of Palm View at about 9:45. They arrived to find the body of a man, described only as a black male, dead of what they referred to as “suspicious circumstances.” Follow-up investigation resulted in one suspect being detained for questioning, who remains in custody. The County Sheriff’s Homicide detail is conducting the investigation.
