Morongo Basin Ambulance responded to a traffic collision on Twentynine Palms Highway in Morongo Valley on Sunday at around 8:30 p.m. One victim in the vehicle was reportedly unconscious and the other was not breathing. The vehicle, which collided with the power pole, had two propane tanks in the back of their vehicle, causing it to catch fire after the accident. Paramedics declared one victim deceased at the scene, the other patient was transported by Morongo Basin Ambulance to Desert Regional Medical Center.
