One suspect was arrested, and deputies are searching for a possible second suspect, in connection with multiple burglaries in Landers last week. According to a Sheriff’s report, a cabin near Old Woman Springs Road and Linn Road in Landers had been burglarized, and a friend notified the owner that some of the property that had been stolen could be seen in the yard of a home in the 55400 block of Lum Lane in Landers. The victim drove by and confirmed that the stolen property was in the yard and notified the investigating deputy about 9:30 Saturday morning. At the scene, deputies contacted Robert Jones, 34, who is on felony probation for possession of stolen property. Deputies located a stolen 200-gallon water tank, a stolen propane tank, and a stolen Kawasaki quad off-road vehicle. Chris Gubler of Gubler Orchids confirmed to Z107.7 News that Jones is the suspect in the burglary of the nursery last week. Gubler said it was a collaborative effort between the residents of Landers and Sheriff’s deputies to piece together information to find and arrest the suspect. Robert Jones was arrested for investigation of being in possession of stolen property and for violating his probation.
