A Joshua Tree man was arrested Wednesday after his wife said he hit her. According to a Sheriff’s report, Jeremy Harper, 30, was arguing with his wife in the 4500 block of Avenida del Sol about 4 p.m. because she had not washed the dishes. His wife told deputies that he hit her several times before she was able to get away. The deputy reported the woman had redness and bruising to her arms and stomach. Jeremy Harper was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
