ONE ARREST AFTER YUCCA MESA DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

An argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend over an impending break-up resulted in the arrest of a Yucca Valley woman. According to a police report, Debra Kerr, 51, of the 57800 block of Starlite Mesa Drive in Yucca Mesa called police at 9:45 p.m. Monday night and then gave the phone to her boyfriend, who told dispatchers that everything was fine. Deputies went out to the location anyway, and after an investigation, arrested Kerr on suspicion of domestic battery, although the victim showed no signs of injury. Debra Kerr was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $25,000.
