A Mission Viejo man who sold a Yucca Valley man a box of tools was arrested after he followed the buyer home, threatened him with a knife cutter, and took back the box of tools. According to a Sheriff’s report, the victim bought the tool box, filled with tools, for $60 from a couple at a gas station who said they were not from the area and needed gas money. About 10 a.m. Saturday, James Giordano, 37, showed up at the victim’s home in Yucca Valley and said the victim owed him money. The victim said he refused to give Giordano any more money, at which time Giordano pulled a box cutter out of his pocket and said he was taking the tool box. When the victim protested, Giordano allegedly took a fighting stance, then took the tool box and left on a scooter, towing it behind him. The victim followed him for awhile until Giordano threatened him again. Deputies located Giordano and the tool box at Camino del Cielo and Martinez Trail in Yucca Valley. James Giordano was arrested for investigation of robbery, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
