A silent alarm at a Yucca Valley crisis walk-in center led to an arrest Sunday. Deputies were called to the Crisis Walk-In Center in the 7200 block of Dumosa Avenue in Yucca Valley about 10:50 p.m. where they found Derek Lamoreux, 32, of Yucca Valley. Employees said that Lamoreux had become upset, and was knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell at the crisis center. When he wasn’t let inside, Lamoreux allegedly kicked in the front door and entered, holding a large piece of asphalt. Employees said he threatened bodily harm to multiple people inside the crisis walk-in center. He is also said to have torn a front door camera off the wall and thrown it in the parking lot. Derek Lamoreux was arrested for investigation of felony vandalism, burglary, and making criminal threats, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
