“ONCE UPON A MATTRESS” OPENS THIS WEEKEND AT THEATRE 29

“Once Upon A Mattress,” directed by Theatre 29 veteran Kathryn Ferguson, is the musical comedy retelling of the classic fairy tale of the Princess and the Pea. The quirky Princess Winnifred is played by Kylie Robinson, and her Prince by Noah Wahlberg. His royal parents are played by Kelly Ebsary and Cruz Jimenez. Robert Ames plays the Wizard; Kevin Myers the Jester; and Charles Harvey is the Minstrel. Newcomers Natalie Stokes and John Pollnow play star-crossed lovers. Ensemble members include Ariel Montes, Anna Pollnow, Adonai Patu, Ethan Flores, Anna Alkire, Katelyn Coleman, Cathy Inscore, Anna Carnes, Ethan Woolever, Jocelyn Gonzalez and Josiah Ruiz. This musical comedy is great fun for the whole family.

“Once Upon A Mattress” runs weekends through December 15; showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, and 2:30 on Sunday afternoons. Tickets are $10 to $15 and are available at theatre29.org or call the Theatre 29 box office at 760-361-4151.
