Auditions are set for Sunday, September 29, at 5 p.m. for “Once Upon A Mattress.” Princess Winnifred should be a comedic actress with a strong belt voice. Prince Dauntless needs good improv and mime skills. Lady Larken is pregnant and madly in love. Sir Harry is a macho but romantic knight. Queen Aggravian is loud and stubborn. The Wizard is an egotistical henchman and the minstrel narrates the story. The nightingale is a child 10 or older, who sings and can whistle; the jester is energetic and peppy. There’s also a large ensemble of additional characters. Come ready to dance, prepare 16 bars of a show tune and bring a non-vocal backing track on your mobile device.
