A portion of State Route 247—Old Woman Springs Road—will be closed
for a concrete overlay project for two-and-a-half days at the end of March. The highway will be completely closed in both directions from Bessemer Mine Road, on the north end of Landers, to Camp Rock Road in Lucerne Valley. The road will close at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 29, and will re-open at 6 a.m. on Monday, April 1. There are no detours planned. Morongo Basin motorists will have to find alternate routes if they need to travel to Lucerne Valley and beyond.
