Join the Twentynine Palms Historical Society for the Old Timers Gathering on Saturday, October 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Old Schoolhouse Museum in Twentynine Palms. The Old Timers Gathering is for anyone interested in the history of Twentynine Palms who wants to meet some of the earlier residents and share their memories and stories of Twentynine Palms with others. Snacks and soft drinks will be provided. This year’s Old Timers Gathering will feature a silent auction of sun purpled glass and ceramic creations by the renowned desert artist, Howard Pierce. All funds raised through the auction will go to the Society’s museum expansion fund. No one is too old or too young to participate.
