This year’s Old Timers Gathering in Twentynine Palms celebrates the 2017 Old Timer of the Year honorees Ann Congdon and Cheryl Erickson, as well as Pioneer Days grand marshals and military grand marshals Audrey and Owen Gillick, and Mary Kay and Charlie Sherry. The Old Timers Gathering is a local tradition and is for those interested in local history and who want to meet some of the earlier residents who are eager to share their memories. No one is too old or too young to participate. It happens this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Old Schoolhouse Museum in Twentynine Palms. Admission is free and snacks and soft drinks will be provided.
