Join retired park ranger, Doug Leen, aka, “Ranger Doug” who, in recognition of the 100th birthday of the National Park Service, will be hosting two programs dedicated to the lost art posters of the national parks. Created in the 1930’s by the Works Progress Administration, Doug rescued the last surviving Works Progress Administration national park poster from a burn pile. Using photographs and the original poster as a template, he and co-artist Brian Maebius have republished the original and added 50 more posters of national parks using a similar motif. These programs are free to the public and are scheduled for Friday, January 15th at 7:00 p.m. at Jumbo Rocks Amphitheater and Saturday, January 16th at 7:00 p.m. at Black Rock Nature Center.
