OFF-ROADER BREAKS LEG IN SATURDAY CRASH

A man broke his leg during an off-road crash in Joshua Tree Saturday evening. About 7:30 p.m. Joshua Tree fire fighters were called to the Sunfair Dry Lake bed after receiving a call that a man had wrecked his quad and flown over the handlebars. The unidentified man sustained a broken right femur, and he was air lifted to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs.
