An off-road collision on Saturday sent three children to the hospital. On January 1, Morongo Basin Ambulance responded to an off-road collision on the Joshua Tree Sunfair Dry lake bed shortly before 4 p.m. Incident reports say that two vehicles were involved and Morongo Basin Ambulance transported one female pediatric patient to a landing zone at Hi-Desert Medical Center where she was flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center Children’s hospital for treatment of her injuries. Two more pediatric patients, a boy and girl, were transported by Morongo Basin Ambulance by ground to Desert Regional for treatment of their injuries.
