There is a new garden at Oasis Elementary School in Twentynine Palms. Reporter Ashton Henry say kids are invited to help with planting this Saturday…
The Oasis Elementary GATE program has been working hard this year to make their campus full of life. The GATE students are cleaning up their campus garden. The students, with the help of our National Park Service, are planting over 100 new plants in the campus garden. Over the past two school years, the GATE coordinators, Brenda Roberts and Marissa Lindsey have made it their goal to teach the students about plant life and keeping our earth clean. The students have made a field trip to The Living Desert zoo in Palm Desert to kick off their plant education. The students will be learning about the different plants and how to take care of them at the Oasis Garden Planting on Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is an excellent way to show your children how to plant and find the beauty in desert plants.
