Teachers, faculty, and students at Oasis Elementary School have dedicated this year’s staff versus sixth graders softball game to 22-year teacher and avid sports fan Rick Papp, who passed away in April from cancer. Papp’s former students and parents, as well as former Oasis staff, are invited to the game to bring your own glove to play or bring your own enthusiasm to cheer. The event will be held on Monday, June 10, at Oasis Elementary School. An informal meet-and-greet will be held in Room 17 at 8 a.m. with the game kicking off at 9 a.m. All visitors must obtain a visitors’ pass at the new office building before proceeding to the event. Visitors should expect regular school traffic from 8:15 to 8:40 a.m.
