NURSING SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED AT COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE

Gene Woodley and his late wife, Deavah, together decided to fund a full-ride nursing scholarship as thanks for the excellent care Deavah Woodley received in her final days at the Hi-Desert Memorial Healthcare District’s Continuing Care Center. Mireya Escalante was recently named the recipient of the Deavah C. Woodley Memorial RN Scholarship. Gene Woodley recently awarded the scholarship to Escalante and presented her with a plaque at the CMC Foundation’s Presidents’ Circle luncheon. The scholarship covers the two-year RN program at CMC.
