Audiences are raving about the latest Musical-Comedy production at Theatre 29, “Nunset Boulevard,” the latest in the blockbuster “Nunsense” franchise. What they don’t know as they follow the latest exploits of The Little Sisters of Hoboken is the high level of expertise brought to the Twentynine Palms stage by its multi-award winning director, Kathryn Ferguson. Ferguson has been a dominant figure in the desert arts scene since she arrived from the San Diego area in 1988. The Louisiana native began her desert acting career at Palm Spring’s Valley Player’s Guild. She has received many Desert Theatre League award nominations and several wins for “Best Director of a Musical” and “Best Director of a Drama.” Best known as a director, Ferguson is also an award winning actress and costume designer. For the past ten years, Kathryn Ferguson’s directorial, performance and costume handiwork has been seen on the Theatre 29 stage in Twentynine Palms. “Nunset Boulevard” is on stage at Theatre 29 weekends (Friday and Saturday evenings) at 7 p.m. through May 24th, a Sunday Matinee will be performed May 18th at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for General admission, $10 seniors and Military, $8 for children under 12 and students with ID. Tickets can be purchased online at www.theatre29.org, and through the box office at 760-361-4151.
