Two award-winning poets will give poetry readings at Joshua Tree National Park. Karla K. Morton and Alan Birkelbach, Texas Poet Laureates who have 11 published works between them, hope that their words can help the public explore, preserve, and protect our national parks. The free poetry readings will be followed by a question-and-answer period. The event is set for 7 p.m. Friday, January 20, at Joshua Tree National Park’s Black Rock Nature Center in Yucca Valley.
