NOTED MUSICIAN INJURED IN JOSHUA TREE CRASH

A noted Yucca Valley musician was injured in a crash in Joshua Tree Monday afternoon. According to the California Highway Patrol, Richard Bishop, 63, had stopped his 2002 Honda at northbound Hillview Road and Highway 62 about 5:20 p.m. As Bishop made a left-hand turn onto the highway, the CHP says he pulled directly into the path of a 2010 Nissan, driven by Madison Fulton, 18, of Yucca Valley, who was driving eastbound on the highway in the number one lane. The front of Fulton’s car collided with the left front of Bishop’s vehicle. Richard Bishop was taken by Morongo Basin Ambulance to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs with head trauma.
