Noah Purifoy Foundation announces changes for 2025
The Noah Purifoy Foundation has put out their annual update. The non-profit organization oversees and maintains the legacy of artist Noah Purifoy and his outdoor museum. Among their accomplishments over the last 12 months, the Foundation purchased the visitor center located across the road from the museum. They say the purchase was made possible via a donation from a former trustee, and that the Foundation is now working to improve the building through additional grants.
They announced that three new Trustees have joined their board. Darby English, Elisabetta Perfetti, and Jacqueline Forbes.
And their update included maintenance and upgrades to many of Purifoy’s free-standing assemblage pieces across the property, including “Auror Borealis,” “Carousel,” “Bessemer Steel, and “the Kirby Express.” Volunteers also helped raise “V-Shape Sculpture.”
If you’re not familiar with the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum, it is the former home of iconic assemblage artist Noah Purifoy. He used discarded materials to make large-scale sculpture pieces across his desert property, and is considered a major artist of the 20th Century.
The outdoor museum is located at 63030 Blair Lane, is open to the public every day from sun up to sundown and is completely free.
