NO SIGN OF FOUL PLAY AFTER BODY FOUND IN MORONGO VALLEY

A body found Friday alongside the highway in Morongo Valley was just feet away from a vehicle that had been tagged Tuesday, November 27 by the Highway Patrol. About 10:30 a.m. Friday, a friend of the victim was driving on Highway 62 and spotted the victim’s car parked on the shoulder near T-Circle Drive and called the man’s boss to report it. The boss came to the scene and discovered the body at about 10:30 a.m. Friday. Sheriff’s Captain Trevis Newport told Z107.7 News that it appears the victim had a medical emergency and pulled over. Deputies believe the man got out of the car and walked a short distance before collapsing. Newport said there is nothing to indicate foul play at this point. The coroner has not yet released the man’s name.
