NO NEW CANDIDATES FOR MORONGO BASIN ELECTED OFFICES

The County Registrar of Voters extended the deadline to Wednesday, August 12, to file papers to run for office in four agencies in the Morongo Basin: Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency; Morongo Valley Community Services District; Hi-Desert Memorial Healthcare District; and the Yucca Valley Airport District. The deadline was extended because an incumbent in office did not file to run for re-election. No new candidates filed papers to run in any of these offices.

Several agencies have uncontested races.

Twentynine Palms City Council District 1: Steve Bilderain.

Morongo Unified School District, District 3: Kerri Condley.

Hi-Desert Water District: Bob Stadum and Scot McKone

Jim Byerrum (short term).

Joshua Basin Water District: Jane Jarlsberg and Tom Floen.

Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency: Michael McBride and Megan Close-Dees.

Contested races:

Yucca Valley Town Council District 2: Jeff Drozd, David Simmons.

District 4: Robert Lombardo, Jeff Brady, Myra Kennedy, Travis Puglisi.

Twentynine Palms City Council, District 2: Joel Klink, Jim Krushat.

Copper Mountain College: Mary Lombardo, Dick Rogers, Greg Gilbert, Tyler “Thomas” Short, and Supinda Sirihekaphong.

Morongo Unified School District District 1: Ashley Aguilar, Aaron Kyle, and Robert Hamilton.

District 2: Cathy Nelson and Patrick Crow.

Morongo Valley Community Service District: Johnny Tolbert, Susan Lefevre, Ivan K. Murray, and Christina Gorke.

Hi-Desert Memorial Healthcare District: Dianne Markle-Greenhouse, Dale Mondary, Denise Cullum, and Gregory Brown.

Joshua Basin Water District, District 5: Paul Franklin Coate, Stacy Doolitte, and Robert Johnson.

County of San Bernardino Board of Education, Area E: Karalee Hargrove,
Alise Clouser, David Raley, and Andrea DeLeon
