The Morongo Basin’s only no-kill animal shelter is in desperate need of foster homes. Reporter Taylor Thacker says you can help save a life without making a life-long commitment…
It is that time of year again when many people are bringing in kittens and puppies to the Morongo Basin Humane Society’s No-Kill Animal Shelter in Joshua Tree and the shelter is becoming crowded. Due to the limited space, this no-kill shelter has set up a foster program to provide places for these young animals. This program will provide food and supplies for the foster pets and the shelter will be available for any questions or concerns. Depending on the different circumstances, the foster period will be between two to four weeks and it is an ideal situation for those who are home for a large part of the day. This program also allows animal lovers to enjoy a pet without having to make a lifelong commitment! The foster program at the Morongo Basin Humane Society’s shelter would like to encourage everyone to sign up because the more people that sign up, the more animals they can save and find forever homes for.
