NO INJURIES REPORTED IN BUS CRASH ON HIGHWAY 247 WEDNESDAY

The California Highway Patrol responded to a collision between a school bus and another vehicle Wednesday (August 25) around 8:15 a.m. According to CHP reports, Avery Smith, 45, was driving a school bus with three juvenile passengers southbound on Highway 247. As Smith made a left turn onto Aberdeen Drive, the right side of the bus was struck by 2010 Ford Taurus driven by Frank Aguirre Jr. 69, of Yucca Valley, traveling northbound on the highway. Both parties waited for emergency responders after the collision. No injuries were reported by either of the drivers or passengers. Appropriate seatbelts and child restraints were used by all involved. Drugs or alcohol use do not seem to be a factor in the crash. The cause of this crash is still under investigation.
